Frequently Asked Questions

Organizational Mission

PatientPoint's mission is to improve health outcomes through behavior change at the point of care and beyond. That mission shows up every day in the work, helping patients, providers, and health brands take actions that lead to healthier behaviors and better outcomes. As the Point of Change company, PatientPoint transforms waiting rooms, exam rooms, and back offices into connected experiences that inspire action. Whether it's increasing preventive screenings, helping patients better understand a diagnosis, improving medication adherence, or supporting providers with tools that make care more efficient, the work is focused on creating measurable improvements in health outcomes. With a presence across thousands of physician offices nationwide, PatientPoint solutions impact hundreds of millions of patient visits each year, turning moments of care into moments of action.

Nowhere is that mission brought to life more directly than in PatientPoint Studios' original content series, including Patient Journey and Defying the Odds — real stories that show what's possible when patients are met with the right information at the right moment in their care. Teammates themselves carry those same stories forward in the Why PatientPoint series. One Account Executive recalled a patient who saw a pharmaceutical ad on a PatientPoint exam room screen and described it as feeling like "a sign from the heavens above" that she was meant to start that treatment — with her provider by her side at every step. Another teammate, a Product Manager on the AI & Automation team, traced his own connection to the mission back to sitting in a hospital room with his daughter, watching a cardiologist explain a diagnosis on a whiteboard and dry-erase marker, and feeling unprepared in that moment — the same gap PatientPoint's exam room devices are built to close. These aren't abstract case studies; they put a human face on the outcomes PatientPoint's platform is built to drive.

Societal Impact & Community Engagement

PatientPoint creates meaningful behavior change by delivering trusted, behavior science-driven health information at critical moments of care. This empowers people to ask better questions, engage more confidently with their providers, and take meaningful steps toward better health. The impact goes beyond awareness. PatientPoint measures success through the actions it helps inspire, from preventive screenings and vaccinations to treatment adherence and healthier patient behaviors, with programs associated with double-digit increases in life-saving screenings. PatientPoint also partners with leading health organizations and advocacy groups to amplify important public health messages and support initiatives that help people take action earlier in their healthcare journeys. The belief at the core of it all is simple: better-informed patients lead to healthier communities.

That belief plays out at real scale. PatientPoint powers the largest network of digital devices in doctor's offices across the country — reaching 124,000 healthcare providers, 14+ specialties, and 30,000 locations through 145,000 digital devices, with 1 in 3 prescriptions written by a PatientPoint provider. That reach is amplified through partnerships with more than 60 leading health associations and advocacy groups — spanning cancer (American Cancer Society, Stand Up To Cancer, Susan G. Komen), chronic and autoimmune conditions (Arthritis Foundation, the MS Society, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation), mental health (Mental Health America, NAMI, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), and public health at large (the CDC, the American Heart Association, Ad Council).

That commitment extends beyond the point of care through the PatientPoint Foundation, which brings PatientPoint's technology and health education directly to communities where gaps in care and health disparities are most pervasive. As a Pledge 1% member, PatientPoint commits at minimum 1% of company profits, products, and employee time to support the Foundation's work every year — a standing structural commitment, not a one-time initiative.

Teammates live that same give-back mentality closer to home through Community Day, now in its fourth year. On June 15, 2026, teammates across PatientPoint stepped away from their desks to serve causes that matter to them, logging 400+ hours of community impact in a single day — through organized group volunteering in Cincinnati, Tampa, and Baltimore, local solo efforts, virtual participation, and messages and e-cards sent to children in hospitals and elderly community members for those who couldn't volunteer in person. Since its 2023 debut, Community Day has grown into an annual tradition, with PatientPoint teammates logging more than 1,700 hours of community service across all four years combined.

Authenticity

PatientPoint demonstrates its values through a genuine commitment to improving the healthcare experience for everyone involved. The company combines behavior science, clinical credibility, and innovation to create experiences that drive measurable results for patients, providers, and health brands. Teams work across disciplines to develop medically reviewed, behavior science-driven content that helps people make healthier decisions, and the company continuously invests in innovation, listens to customers and partners, and measures the impact of its work.

That commitment shows up clearly in employee sentiment data. PatientPoint holds a 4.3–4.4/5 culture & values score on Glassdoor and a 4.5/5 work-life balance rating, ranks #1 in Overall Culture Score among its named competitor set on Comparably, and earns a 4.7/5 overall InHerSight Score with a #4 placement on InHerSight's Best Technology Companies to Work For list. Employees across every platform consistently point to the same things: a collaborative, supportive culture, real flexibility, and work that connects directly back to improving patient health outcomes.

Sometimes that commitment is tested directly — and how PatientPoint responds in those moments says as much about its values as any survey score. One VP of Client Solutions with 18 years at the company described a major pharmaceutical client that walked away from the space entirely after a competitor's dishonest practices damaged trust industry-wide. Rather than cutting corners to compete, PatientPoint spent several years pursuing MRC accreditation the right way. The client returned — with significant new investment — because, in her words, "they believe in us again." It's a story told as a point of pride, not grievance, and it captures something the survey scores can't: PatientPoint held its standards even when it cost business in the short term.

That same values commitment isn't static — it's actively being redefined right now. As PatientPoint enters what Chairman of the Board and Interim CEO has called its "next chapter" — new ownership, bigger goals, and rising customer expectations — the company launched a company-wide culture initiative in partnership with TiER1, a firm specializing in organizational culture work, to intentionally shape what PatientPoint carries forward and what it leaves behind as it scales. The process centers employee voice: an anonymous, all-company culture survey followed by cross-functional focus groups will inform a set of culture guiding principles, synthesized by TiER1 and finalized by the Executive Team later this year. As Lang told the team, these principles are meant to show up in how PatientPoint hires, makes decisions, communicates, and handles hard moments — "because that's when culture is tested." The timing is deliberate, too: this work lands as PatientPoint approaches its 40th anniversary, treating it as a chance to set the stage for the company's next chapter rather than simply preserve the last one.

Authenticity

PatientPoint’s mission is rooted in improving the quality of every doctor-patient interaction by delivering digital, in-office education that helps patients make more informed care decisions and helps providers connect more meaningfully with them. That impact is already operating at national scale: the company reaches more than 750 million patient visits each year, works with thousands of healthcare providers and offices, and brings patients, providers and life sciences brands together around better health outcomes and healthier, longer lives.

What also stands out is how closely the company’s purpose connects to the work employees do every day. Teams build technology that advances patient engagement in the clinical moment, and the company is growing that impact through new platform capabilities like myPatientPoint, which gives practices more control over how they personalize engagement in waiting and exam rooms. The mission is paired with a collaborative, team-first culture that values new ideas, learning and shared ownership, giving employees the chance to shape meaningful healthcare experiences at scale.

What makes PatientPoint the best place for me to work is my personal connection to healthcare. My father was a physician, and my mom was a nurse. We place technology directly in physician practices, and I remember when my dad had the chance to see one of our wallboards. He was amazed at how much it would have helped him have better conversations with his patients. It’s meaningful to be part of a company that supports providers and care teams like the ones my family was part of.
