Staff Data Engineer responsible for defining data architecture strategy, building fault-tolerant batch and real-time streaming infrastructure, and managing scalable lakehouse and database systems. The role processes telemetry from millions of connected devices, drives performance tuning and data quality, supports on-call operations, evaluates modern technologies, and mentors engineers. It requires strong expertise in Python, SQL, cloud data platforms, streaming systems, infrastructure as code, and enterprise-scale architecture.

Build and support consumer-facing full-stack features for an energy-saving platform. Responsibilities include developing TypeScript/React frontend and Python backend functionality, owning critical product flows, collaborating with product and analytics teams, working with cloud and database technologies, implementing UI and API monitoring, and participating in code reviews and agile development processes.

Leads Renew Home’s external communications strategy, including media relations, press releases, partner announcements, executive visibility, thought leadership, social channels, milestone communications, and crisis response. Builds relationships with energy and financial journalists, coaches executives and spokespeople, manages agencies, aligns cross-functional stakeholders, and develops measurable communications KPIs. The role requires proactive storytelling, strong writing, sound judgment, adaptability, and experience supporting high-growth companies in the energy sector.
