Coordinate patient care and staffing for Med-Surg unit during night shift, provide direct patient care as needed, assist Director with evaluations, scheduling, training, quality improvement, timekeeping, and staffing management.

Lead and coordinate daily operations of the step-down unit, providing clinical leadership, mentoring staff, making patient care assignments, and ensuring unit quality and compliance. Assist with recruiting, training, reporting, and communicate unit needs to nurse leadership and house supervisors.

Provide unit-based, patient-centered pharmacy care including order verification, medication therapy management, participation in rounds, development of medication protocols, and conducting Medication Use Evaluations to optimize pharmacotherapy in collaboration with the care team.
