Build Python backend services and data-intensive systems supporting member identity, eligibility, billing, partner integrations, reporting, and analytics. Design APIs, asynchronous workflows, and data pipelines; validate, reconcile, retry, replay, and recover inconsistent external data. Improve production reliability, observability, testing, and performance while collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Operations. The role offers growth toward independent ownership of services and technical decisions.

Own and evolve production data systems supporting healthcare, claims, billing, analytics, and reporting. Design resilient ingestion patterns, data contracts, models, schemas, and pipelines that handle incomplete, duplicated, delayed, and changing data. Improve performance, observability, failure handling, retries, backfills, and replay safety. Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and analytics teams while making architecture decisions and documenting technical changes.

Serve as Vida’s first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer, modernizing Terraform, standardizing environments, improving CI/CD, scaling GCP and Kubernetes infrastructure, upgrading databases and runtimes, and strengthening monitoring, observability, security, and operational processes. The role includes building runbooks, on-call and escalation procedures, supporting enterprise launches, managing infrastructure costs, and evaluating multi-cluster Kubernetes architecture in a fully remote environment.
