The Director of Development advances Carson College of Business fundraising goals through donor outreach, cultivation, stewardship, proposal development, major-gift solicitation, annual giving, planned-gift identification, and fundraising event planning. The role manages approximately 125–150 donors, develops major gift pledges, plans solicitations, and meets annual fundraising targets of $750,000 to $1,000,000 or more. Extensive travel throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest, along with evening and weekend work, is required.

Conduct plant genetics and breeding research with WSU and USDA ARS scientists, focusing on pea, chickpea, and lentil domestication, agronomic and seed-quality traits, genomic prediction, genomic selection, and high-throughput phenotyping. The role requires analyzing high-dimensional genomic and phenomic datasets, designing experiments, managing projects, conducting independent research, documenting findings, and communicating scientific results.

Conduct research to develop novel herbicide tolerance in winter wheat by screening genetic populations, identifying tolerant lines, investigating genetic control and molecular markers, developing screening protocols, making crosses for cultivar development, and participating in outreach, proposal writing, and publications.
