Build and operate a new full-stack payment and expense management platform from architecture through production. Develop backend services, APIs, data models, web and mobile capabilities, and partner integrations. Establish secure engineering, testing, observability, and production-readiness practices. Collaborate with product, design, security, and distributed engineering teams; review code, resolve complex issues, manage technical risks, mentor engineers, and own technical outcomes through continuous improvement.

Own the technical direction and delivery of WEX’s data acquisition platform. Build reusable, high-performance batch, CDC, and streaming ingestion services with schema validation, reconciliation, recovery, lineage, security, observability, and auditability. Lead architecture and code reviews, establish testing and CI/CD practices, mentor engineers, resolve cross-team dependencies, and support production escalations. The role requires hands-on development of scalable distributed systems and configuration-driven connectors.

The Staff Software Development Engineer will design and develop web applications, lead automation testing strategies, and collaborate on user experiences, utilizing strong front-end skills and full-stack exposure.
