About the Role

As the Learning and Development Manager (IC) reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will have the exciting and unique opportunity to directly impact the future and success of Routable. This role will be instrumental in building start-up infrastructure, forming the next generation of leaders, shaping company culture, and guiding Routable through our next phase of explosive growth.

The Routable team is passionate about helping all employees build skills to be successful in their current roles as well as support their ongoing individual and career development. As a trusted partner to employees and leadership across the organization, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the employee learning experience at Routable. You will partner with the Head of People Operations to drive impact by designing, building, and launching training programs. You will be successful in this role if you care deeply both about our business and our employees and are excited about doing everything you can to help our team thrive.

Routable is a remote-first, fast-paced, technical, and results driven organization that is scaling quickly. You will need to be able to stay one step ahead of our growth and be able to build, support, and help enhance our organization as we scale.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business, functioning as a performance consultant, to identify specific learning needs/gaps and provide impactful learning solutions.
  • Manage the implementation, delivery, and adoption of internal and external training.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in general leadership development. Create and update training curriculum as needed.
  • Implement, leverage, and maintain learning management systems (LMS). Build and launch new training content using the company LMS.
  • Partner with the People Operations team and the business to enhance the existing onboarding program.
  • Facilitate courses and trainings as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development).
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit structure and growth, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Perform other training related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid experience in the Learning and Development field, with a minimum of 3 years as a lead in a fast growing company, having touched on the specific areas of expertise described in the Responsibilities section above.   • You make data-driven decisions. You monitor and track the results of your initiatives to inform your priorities and set expectations with the business and/or employees.
  • You are resourceful. You are willing to research questions, processes, and best practices to find answers that best fit Routable’s culture and needs.

Location

You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Rendezvous

To help foster amazing relationships with our coworkers, we meet up twice a year as a whole team in some pretty awesome cities! In the past we’ve met up in San Diego, Seattle, and Austin. We’d rather invest money into memorable team events rather than expensive offices. During our meet-up team time, we love to spend time learning a new skill together, and solving problems. Most recently this has taken on the form of a bread-making class and defeating an Escape Room.

Note: we have paused our meetups due to COVID-19 and will resume when it is safe for everyone to attend
