At Instructure, we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed throughout their lives. Our goal is to amplify that power by creating intuitive products that simplify learning and personal development, facilitate meaningful relationships, and inspire people to go further in their education and careers. We do this by giving smart, creative, passionate people opportunities to create awesome things.

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our highly collaborative and motivated Product organization and specifically support major initiatives and projects, communications, and events. You will partner closely with the Chief Product Officer and Product leadership and play a key role in cultivating a healthy operating rhythm of the Product organization.

What you will do

  • Serve as project management support for major initiatives that sit above the day-to-day operations of the organization
  • Support Product leadership with meeting presentations, standardized decks for routine communications, and other presentation-level documentation
  • Support department communications by organizing talking points and crafting drafts
  • Coordinate community-based communications on defined, standard cadences - our external roadmap, Community blog posts - and collect engagement metrics to optimize future writing
  • Organize the development and ongoing socialization of key departmental reports
  • Serve as coordination and project management support for departmental events—both live and remote
  • Serve as an advocate and champion for the Product team’s operational practices helping to coach adherence and adoption

What you will need to know/have

  • Incredible attention to detail to ensure results are achieved, information is communicated and effectively understood
  • Strong project management skills—organizing and socializing plans, motivating stakeholders, and managing progress to defined milestones
  • Ability to take initiative and make progress resiliently through ambiguity
  • Bias toward simplicity, applying only an absolutely necessary minimum of structure and process, keeping the end R&D user experience in mind
  • Strength in developing collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders - Product individual contributors, to Go-To-Market teams, to Executives - inspiring confidence and providing clarity
  • Clear and effective communication across all channels, verbal and written
  • Unassailable responsibility – you accomplish/complete what you say you will, you can anticipate and respond to needs/concerns
  • Synthesis skills, able to process multiple inputs at varying levels of depth and granularity to meet the informational level of varying audiences
  • Strong emotional intelligence—actively listen to understand, independent of agreement or motivation, and courageously solicit and give feedback

Bonus points if you also have

  • Experience with product development methodologies and agile environments
  • Data gathering, analysis, and visualization skills
