About the Position

The Operations Control Associate will play a key role in creating a control conscious environment at Assurance where employees serve as the first line of defense for risk. The associate will interface with every area of the business to implement and reinforce operational policies and procedures and identify defects in business models and operations. They will conduct research, perform monitoring, investigate workflows, review and audit correspondence, including Agent correspondence with customers, and make recommendations based on their review. They will balance a need for structure and control with the need to be innovative and nimble in approach. They will complete project assignments in support of operations.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in operational controls
  • Basic computer software knowledge; strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on listening and documenting client needs
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Life and Health Licenses An Asset
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated with strong client service and organization skills as well as a high level of accuracy
  • This candidate will also possess strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) due to the level of contact with various internal and external resources
