The Challenge
Qualtrics is seeking a contract manager to negotiate and manage a vast portfolio of federal, state and local government contracts.
This position will work on a range of government and education proposals and contract-related activities, specifically the pre-proposal phase, contract negotiation and contract execution.
In this role, you will develop domain expertise over a specific portfolio and serve as the primary point of contact to support internal Client Service Teams (CSTs), practice leadership and external clients on all aspects of contract lifecycle management.
This position will develop and hold key relationships with government contracting officials of existing and target clients, review requests for proposals and other government solicitations including amendments, distribute solicitation documents and communicate contractual requirements to the appropriate colleagues. This position will support contract and modification negotiations with clients, communicate with the government regarding submissions (e.g. confirmation of receipt, bid/no-bid decisions), complete forms and other compliance-related documents and support colleagues in preparing price volumes and proposals for the government.
This position may also negotiate non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and subcontracts with third parties. A key responsibility will be in providing support to other contracting and legal colleagues in resolving contract-related questions, issues and problems, and in negotiating contracts and modifications. This position will work closely with the government and education sales teams on contracting and legal issues.

Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contract documents in collaboration with sales team, business lines (program managers), and other industry stakeholders. Contract documents will include NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, Sales Contracts, Software Licenses, Hardware and Software Maintenance Agreement, and Service Level Agreements.
- In connection with the sales process and bid reviews, identify customer terms that deviate from Qualtrics standards. Assign non-standard terms to internal subject matter experts (such as Engineering, Security, Finance, a business line (program managers)) for review. Negotiate non-standard terms in collaboration with internal subject matter experts.
- Clearly and concisely communicate risks of non-standard terms to Qualtrics leadership as directed by your manager. Gather internal approval of non-standard terms in compliance with Qualtrics contracting procedures.
- Contractual document review.
- Assist with contract negotiations or subcontract negotiations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic (must have for the job)
- 5+ years of industry experience working in government and / or education contracting
- In-depth industry knowledge and proven track record at winning in government and education
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences
- Proven and proficient negotiating skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred (want for the job)
- Sales experience
- Prior experience in the enterprise SaaS industry
- JD or paralegal certificate
