About the Position

This position is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for functions responsible for the identification, measurement, and mitigation of operational risk for the business.

 The incumbent will be responsible for leading teams focused on Sales Oversight programs, Complaint handling, Records Management, Business Continuation, Privacy, Vendor Governance and Vendor Engagement Management. Oversees and implements the development of operational policies and procedures that maintain appropriate business controls that mitigate operational risk for the business. 

This individual will report directly into the COO, and will work closely with our parent company, Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU), to establish the appropriate standards for the business across risk mitigation activities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business risk & control environments, including regulatory expectations
• 5+ years of operational risk management experience, compliance, audit or operations experience within the insurance, financial services, or insurance brokerage environments
• Willingness to work at both the highly strategic end of the role as well as have a ‘roll up the sleeves’ mentality to ensure that the expectations of, and needs from the team and organization, are met and exceeded at all times.

• A continuous learner, with ability to apply new learning in an ever-evolving environment
