Matillion is growing quickly and our Strategic Partner Program Manager will support, consult and project manage our strategic partner initiatives and programs. With their exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, they will streamline partner activities within the organization based on the priorities of the VP Alliances, VP Sales, VP Marketing, CTO through attendance of meetings and coordination of resources once decisions have been made.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Strategic Partner Programs
  • Discover and/or create technical, marketing, and sales opportunities with partners
  • Create opportunities that drive the Matillion partner business. Propose internally, and then to partners and third parties. Drive or handoff as appropriate
  • Ensure Matillion brand, product, and partner-facing teams are front-of-mind and included in partner-generated marketing and sales opportunities
  • Evaluate and secure participation in partner programs that are aligned and effective with Matillion goals
  • Work with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams, as well as partner and third-party teams, to ensure maximization and effectiveness of all such engagements
  • Report results and recommendations back to leadership, field teams, and partner teams as appropriate
  • Work with the Partner Program Operations role to build scalable processes in alignment with Alliance’s team goals. Provide feedback from the product, sales, and marketing strategies into operational partner programs.
  • Align the Matillion sales playbook (e.g. sequences, calendar, other factors) with Matillion field, partners, and third parties for effective co-selling
  • Work with the Matillion partner marketing team and ensure objectives, plans, tools, execution, and reporting are aligned with partner co-sell motion
  • Analyze channel market for gaps, whitespace, and risk (partner segment, geographical, industry vertical, enterprise discipline, partner/customer portfolio, product, technology, marketing) and provide objective investment/hold/divestment business cases and recommendations as required

Technical alignment and integration

  • Ensure Matillion (as a business, and SA/technical/product teams as people) are front-of-mind and included in partner-generated technical discussions
  • Drive & coordinate Matillion-generated technical meetings between the internal product and engineering teams and their partner counterparts
  • Prepare evaluation of potential new technology alliances in collaboration with product and engineering, brief and make recommendations to exec team in collaboration with VP Alliances
  • Work with Matillion product team to understand roadmap and feature announcements and translate into partner messaging and communication

  • Supports on administrative tasks such as setting up partner campaign briefings, roadmap calls, coordinate with Matillion and partner teams and track follow-up actions
  • Manages Alliances rhythm of business (RoB) and roadmap
  • Provide Alliances competitive analysis and SWOT
  • Provide data-driven Opportunity Analysis

Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Essential
  • The posted role is multi-faceted and requires a broad spectrum of experiences to succeed:

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project manager role
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications role
  • 2+ years of experience in business development or sales role
  • Well-versed in budgeting, finance, projections, risk management, and managing the rhythm of business operations
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate across a broad set of roles (Alliances, Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales)
  • Interpersonal relationship building skills and empathy
  • Ability to work collaboratively and see the bigger picture
  • Desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in strategic business or equivalent
  • Project management skills, experience or qualification
