Sales Development Representative
We believe that mobile voice calls should be secure, engaging, and protected from fraud and robocalls. We believe the phone app is the most outdated app on your smartphone, and that the mobile network - as the largest communications network of any kind - urgently needs a trust and identity layer. You should know who's calling you and why! You should get the calls that are relevant to you (at that time) and none of the ones that aren't. Hiya is building the modern layer for the voice experience. We already serve over 120M users worldwide directly through our apps and in partnership with smartphone makers like Samsung and mobile carriers like AT&T. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team in Seattle. You’ll be prospecting for new business, following up on inbound inquiries, evaluating prospects’ needs, and qualifying / developing new potential business contacts to ensure the sales team is efficient and profitable.
We'd like you to have experience working as part of a sales or account management team. Familiarity with Salesforce and lead sourcing software a plus. An interest in technology, a self-starter attitude and a drive to succeed are a definite must-have in this role.
In this role you will:
- Respond to, engage and qualify inbound leads.
- Engage existing leads and event attendees to expand awareness, ask for referrals when appropriate and identify new opportunities.
- Partner with marketing and Lead Gen teams to drive event attendance and follow up.
- Schedule appointments and follow up demos for members of Senior AE team.
- Achieve and maintain daily, weekly and monthly activity targets for outreach.
You don't have to check all the boxes, but we believe these are important requirements for the role:
- Proven success in business development or direct sales role.
- Experience using sales tools: Salesforce, G Suite, LinkedIn, Office, Zoom, Slack
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills - written, verbal, presentation.
- Proactive approach to exceeding targets and expectations. Takes action and positively impacts business without being told what to do.
- Experience working in a team setting and collaborating with multiple personalities towards a shared goal.
