Description:


Xpansiv is seeking an experienced energy industry professional to serve a critical role in supporting Xpansiv’s Power Services ISO settlements product. For more than two decades, Xpansiv has provided scheduling, settlement, and real-time data solutions to wholesale energy market participants. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have strong analytical skills, and possess a good understanding of the wholesale energy markets settlements. As part of the Product Management team, this person will help to deliver exceptional products and service to our customers – in concert with Xpansiv’s mission to empower the world's transition to sustainable energy. What you’ll do:

· Manage Xpansiv’s wholesale energy market ISO settlements product by defining product vision, roadmap, features, services, and be responsible for maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.

· Become an advanced user of Xpansiv’s products and internal systems to provide operational support for existing ISO settlements customers, to evaluate options and make recommendations for product innovation and internal process improvement, and to create, update, and maintain internal processes.

· Drive product enhancements by providing functional specs / user stories (utilizing rapid prototyping, data visualization, and other tools) and working directly with development teams to implement the work.

· Work with Operations, Client Service, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure the appropriate provision of service and support for new or enhanced products.

· Evangelize the ISO settlements product value proposition, vision, roadmap, and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders. As part of this, help create and maintain the necessary materials (PowerPoint decks, education videos, and other collateral). Hold periodic reviews with internal stakeholders and external clients as necessary.

· Collaborate with Sales and Client Services for market analysis and value proposition articulation. Assess market competition by comparing the products/services with relevant competitors’ products/services.

· Monitor industry/business trends and ISO rules and system changes to ensure Xpansiv products are ISO-compliant and provide as much value as possible to clients.


What you’ll bring:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or energy related field

· 5+ years of relevant experience working within the energy industry and/or working directly with enterprise software systems in a product management, development, or support role.

· A working knowledge of wholesale power markets, energy and ancillary services, billing determinants for generation/load, and associated calculations.

· A positive attitude, the ability to work collaboratively with team members, strong communication skills and, and a business-oriented mindset.

· Strong analytic skills with a proven track record of successfully working with technology and/or complex problems.

· The ability to be a self-starter and to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

· Curiosity and an affinity for problem solving.


Desired Qualifications:

· Deep knowledge of ISO settlements, specifically CAISO and ERCOT


Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (or the demonstrated ability to learn).

· Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and superior knowledge of Excel/spreadsheets.

· Capacity to quickly absorb commercial and technical concepts.

· Capability to work remotely/virtually across time zones with various groups and cultures.

Base Salary

Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:

NYC: Compensation is expected to be between

$130,000 and $146,000

Colorado: Compensation is expected to be between

$125,000 and $140,000

Washington State: Compensation is expected to be between

$143,000 and $155,000

California: Compensation is expected to be between

$140,000 and $155,000
