Seattle-based fintech startup Plutus has raised $1.2 million in funding from investors including Rocketship and Visse Capital to fuel the growth of its investing marketplace.

As reported by GeekWire, Plutus’ advisory marketplace gives everyday investors access to investment strategies typically reserved for hedge funds and high-net-worth clients. The platform connects individual investors with independent research providers, allowing users to browse curated model portfolios, choose strategies aligned with their goals and replicate them within their existing brokerage accounts.

Unlike traditional passive ETFs or mutual funds, Plutus portfolios are actively managed, with features such as automated rebalancing and built-in tax efficiencies.
