ZAST.AI, a Seattle company operating within the cybersecurity sector, announced a $6 million round of pre-A funding. This latest round, led by Hillhouse Capital, brings the company’s total funding to almost $10 million to date.

ZAST.AI focuses on code security analysis, working to reduce false positives that ultimately waste time for security engineers while genuine risks persist. After its AI engine performs deep code analysis, its proprietary architecture automatically generates a proof-of-concept and executes it to verify the vulnerability and ensure zero false positives are flagged for attention.

“We believe only verified vulnerabilities are worth reporting,” Geng Yang, Zast.ai co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Our vision is to build an end-to-end AI-driven security platform, enabling every development team to obtain the highest quality security assurance at the lowest cost.”

The company will put its fresh funding toward accelerating research and development for its core technology and fueling expansion into global markets.
