As a Software Engineer I with Twitch, you will develop interactive experiences, build scalable applications, and collaborate on improving tools for users.

The Software Development Manager will lead a team to design and build full stack applications, drive results, and grow engineering talent, focusing on enhancing revenue for Twitch creators.

Own strategy and roadmap for a developer-focused platform area, partner with engineering and ML teams, define platform metrics, drive launches and migrations, and champion hands-on use of modern AI development tools to increase developer adoption and trust.

Own end-to-end localization across 29 languages: vendor coordination, content workflows, LQA and testing, launch execution, linguistic asset development, continuous ops improvement, and localization metrics reporting to drive quality and efficiency.

Provide high-touch customer support for Twitch users by resolving inquiries, tracking escalations, communicating with product and engineering, using CRM and analysis tools, leveraging AI-assisted workflows, and contributing to community experience operations and metrics.

Manage drafting and negotiation of commercial, IP, content, production, and marketing agreements. Counsel internal teams on rights and clearances, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, improve contracting processes, and support esports, talent, advertising, and SaaS transactions.

Build and maintain scalable, low-latency membership systems (subscriptions, gifting) for millions of concurrent users. Design robust distributed services, collaborate with product and design, support live operations, and deliver delightful product experiences for creators and viewers.

Lead discovery products across search, browse, and live feed to help viewers find and connect with creators. Define viewer-focused recommendation needs, own the discovery roadmap, partner with applied science/ML, design experiments, and measure impact alongside design, data science, and engineering.

Lead multiple engineering teams to define and ship next-generation live-stream ad products. Own technical vision and architecture, develop managers, set quality and velocity metrics, and partner with product, sales, and operations to balance advertiser, viewer, and creator needs.

Lead Twitchs Security Incident Response Team to detect, qualify, contain, and remediate security incidents. Oversee on-call escalation, communicate impact to leadership, drive automation and detection improvements, and foster cross-team learning. Provide expertise in threat intelligence, detection engineering, cloud/host/network/application security, and post-incident lessons learned.

Lead end-to-end UX design for streamer monetization experiences: conduct research, prototype mobile interactions, collaborate with PMs and engineers, use qualitative and quantitative insights to drive product strategy, present to stakeholders, and mentor junior designers.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for core iOS frameworks, native video playback, and hybrid WebView integrations. Build WebView infrastructure and bridges, optimize performance at scale, develop automated testing and developer tooling, mentor iOS engineers, and drive cross-organizational architectural decisions to improve velocity and maintainability.

Manage end-to-end content accounting for negotiated agreements: review contracts, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, calculate costs and payouts, execute month-end close, facilitate payments and tax compliance, deliver reporting, and drive process improvements using GenAI and cross-functional partnership.

Work on monetization products (Subscriptions, Bits, Gifting) to design and analyze A/B experiments, apply causal inference and quasi-experimental methods, build models for pricing/segmentation/revenue optimization, and produce dashboards and reporting to inform product decisions.

Provide US and international tax planning and compliance support for Twitch's digital business. Analyze tax impacts of products and initiatives, manage external advisors, advise cross-functional partners, and communicate technical tax recommendations to stakeholders.
