Sales Operations at Karat

Our Sales Operations team is committed to ensuring Karat’s sales team is running optimally. We play a critical role in landing new customers and supporting them through the entire client journey. Sitting at the center of customer data and information, it is our mission to transform these insights into measurable decisions in partnership with internal teams.

As our Sales Operations Specialist, you will spend a majority of your time in Salesforce, ensuring our client data is accurate and usable by internal teams (such as finance, marketing, and sales). Owning and evolving our contracting process, you will help sales secure new customers quickly and efficiently. This position will be an equal mix of tactical and strategy. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with day-to-day operations, while also excited and able to evolve process and standard methodologies.

Karat’s HQ is based in Seattle, Washington, but we are open to remote candidates for this role (within the U.S.). This is a full-time position.

Core ResponsibilitiesOwn It

  • Be the go-to for Salesforce. Assist with account setup, conduct training for users, improve our use of reporting, document best practices, and ensure Salesforce is usable for all internal teams.
  • Build reports and make data available for others. Develop and maintain sales analytics reports and dashboards to provide measurable insights that support decision-making for sales and executive leadership. 
  • Manage inbound requests for sales operations. Respond to Central and Metabase related questions and requests as-needed.

Be a Partner

  • Educate others on sales operations and processes. As the subject matter authority on Salesforce, train sales representatives on new capabilities within the tool.
  • Extend your expertise to others. Handle all tools within the sales stack. This includes following internal approval processes for piloting new tools, onboarding new vendors, and handling technical issues that arise.
  • Ensure consistency in process. Complete Vendor Request forms for sales at various stages, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability.

Create the Future

  • Operationalize sales operations within Karat. Identify areas for improvement and take initiative to solve problems cross-functionally.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales operations role (startup experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels and finance basics (in order to align revenue goals with future existing and future processes)
  • Proficient with data visualization tools, as well as Salesforce, Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, etc.
  • Passionate about process — you can speak to building new processes from scratch
  • Highly proficient in pulling measurable insights from performance data
  • Great teammate who thrives in ambiguity, thinks creatively, and has a strong attention-to-detail
