Job Description


As Vice President of Market Development, you will originate, negotiate and close complex, market-based differentiated commodity solutions. You will identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the emerging and transformative digital assets marketplace.


As Vice President Market Development, you will:


Identify and facilitate market-based differentiated commodity opportunities

Develop a keen understanding of all XPANSIV products/services and how they relate to each other and our customers

Educate market participates on the XPANSIV products and the benefits associated with such products/services

Identify cross-selling opportunities and interact with all XPANSIV product teams and sales groups

Identify strategic opportunities or growth opportunities for XPANSIV that enhance the value proposition of XPANSIV products and services

Manage and maintain a pipeline of sales leads

Manage and maintain current client relationships

Maintain an updated CRM

Promote the business at conferences and events

Generate organic revenue by securing and delivering signed agreements

Cultivate client relationships with Companies

Facilitate new client applications and platform on boarding for differentiated commodity producers, consumers, and intermediaries

Develop differentiated commodity plans and strategies for Companies, prepare presentations and close sales differentiated commodity transactions

Understand clientele’s business objectives and work with internal resources to develop differentiated commodity strategies that match the client's needs.

Drive sales by understanding core product/services in detail and by leveraging technical expertise to drive sales of differentiated commodity products (e.g. differentiated natural gas)

Be a champion for the organization’s values


Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:


Ability to exercise discretion and work independently

Capacity to determine priorities and meet deadlines

Strong understanding of commodity markets and how they operate

Strong communication skills necessary in order to liaise with various levels of stakeholders and advise the business and related support functions

Strong leadership in order to inspire and motivate junior employees to perform at their best

Strong attention to detail

Proficiency in Excel and other office applications

Strong technical application understanding

Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills

Existing relationships with senior-level decision makers at energy producers, consumers, and intermediaries

Preferred environmental and/or energy commodity markets experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 10 - 15 years commodity markets experience

We're currently working with a hybrid workplace model and recently secured a beautiful new office space in Belltown. Some employees feel comfortable going in a few times per week.
