Who We Are

Verily Health is a data platform and technology company purpose-built to power AI-enabled precision health solutions that accelerate research and improve care for individuals and communities. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare, Verily transforms multimodal health data into insights, models, and actions that make healthcare more personalized, predictive, and precise.

Description

Verily exists to bring the promise of precision health to everyone everyday, and our breadth of solutions of care, research, health financing, and population health monitoring serve customers across various market segments.

We are seeking a high-energy, relentless hunter to drive new business growth for our precision health platform with previous commercial success and ownership over bookings and revenue. In this role, you will drive an end-to-end sales cycle—from prospecting and cold outreach to navigating complex healthcare buying committees and closing deals.

As the Account Executive for Life Sciences, you will own the account relationship across all Verily offerings, and be responsible for managing the sales process to bring Verily’s solutions to new and existing small and medium clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech and disease organization sectors. Your role will include proactively hunting for new clients with cold and warm outreach; establishing a deep understanding of our product offerings and value; and understanding customer needs and procurement processes to close deals and execute contracts.  You will need to work collaboratively with the broader Commercial team, Marketing, and Delivery to manage a breadth of client opportunities.

Candidates located in the New York Tri-State area are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage an active pipeline of net new client opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, marketing and event campaigns and existing client relationships.
  • Spearhead sales initiatives that drive revenue growth in small and medium clients, from initial lead generation to successful deal closure.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales and Implementation partners across Verily in the strategic sales processes from lead generation to close, including presenting value propositions, identifying and addressing partner needs, negotiating business terms, and executing contracts.
  • Gather valuable feedback from customers and partners on pricing, market challenges, innovation and the competitive landscape. Hold ultimate responsibility for bookings and revenue generation for the accounts of your purview.
  • Collaborate across the Verily organization to achieve personal goals, team objectives and company milestones.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field. Plus 15+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise sales or business development focused on Technology SaaS, Real Word Data or Life Sciences services.
  • Deep understanding of technical and data needs in small and medium pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, and disease organizations.
  • Experience selling complex solutions and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Highly consultative, hands on and collaborative.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work with complex, technical software and service offerings, and processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and respond quickly to changes and a dynamic environment.
  • A positive attitude, open mind, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to collaborate and learn.
  • Connection to Verily’s corporate purpose … to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.
  • Experience with Google suite of productivity applications (gMail, gCalendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs).

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
