  • Use consultative discovery to uncover customer goals and challenges across Linux, hybrid cloud, containers, edge, AI, and security.

  • Shape compelling solution proposals that align SUSE’s offerings with prospect needs and deliver long‑term value.

  • Own your development by deepening your expertise in SUSE’s value proposition, competitive landscape, and enterprise sales craft.

  • Identify and execute upsell and cross‑sell motions within newly won accounts to accelerate early expansion.

  • Track market and competitor trends to refine your hunting strategy and strengthen your positioning.

  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.

  • Lead the full new‑business sales cycle—from first outreach through negotiation and close—before transitioning customers to Customer Success.

  • Leverage SUSE’s partner ecosystem to open doors, co‑sell, and enhance solution offerings.

  • Prioritise high‑potential target accounts each quarter with clear milestones and execution plans.

What You Bring
  • Proven success in enterprise new‑business sales with consistent overachievement.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise software, especially Linux, hybrid cloud, containers, edge, AI, and security.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical value clearly.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market signals and shape targeted prospecting strategies.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and creativity in navigating complex customer challenges.

  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and partners.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and Clari.

  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger, or similar enterprise sales methodologies.

  • Understanding of open‑source technologies and cloud transformation topics.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
