About Motorq

Every day, cars are wirelessly transmitting real-time data directly from their onboard systems. Most of that data goes unused.

Motorq (pronounced mo-torque) is changing that. We’re the leading Connected Vehicle Intelligence platform, built in direct partnership with the world’s largest automotive manufacturers — 25+ brands and counting. We deliver AI-powered solutions for some of the world's largest fleets, car rental companies, dealerships, and lenders, helping them improve operations, cut fuel consumption, and reduce accidents.

Our leadership team brings interdisciplinary experience across automotive engineering, AI, data science, and SaaS. Headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Seattle, Motorq has raised a $40M+ Series B and is growing rapidly across new geographies and use cases.

We're a team of people who dream big, hold each other to a high standard, and run toward hard problems. If you want to own meaningful work at a company with real traction and a multi-billion dollar market opportunity, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

Motorq is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to drive new logo acquisition across emerging sectors. You'll own the full sales cycle — from identifying and prospecting high-value targets to closing enterprise deals that set the foundation for long-term customer relationships.
This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for a hunter who thrives on building pipeline from scratch, navigating complex enterprise sales cycles, and winning new business in markets where Motorq is still establishing its presence.

What You'll Do

  • Aggressively prospect and penetrate target enterprise accounts across new sectors, driving top-of-funnel activity through outbound outreach, networking, and industry events.

  • Own and exceed a net-new revenue quota, closing high-value deals with fleet operators, lenders, rental companies, and other strategic customers.

  • Develop tailored account strategies for each target — mapping stakeholders, uncovering business pain, and positioning Motorq as the must-have solution.

  • Run the full enterprise sales cycle, from first contact and executive alignment to complex negotiation and contract execution.

  • Partner with Customer Success and Engineering to ensure smooth handoffs and set new customers up for lasting ROI.

  • Leverage competitive intelligence and market insights to differentiate Motorq in highly competitive situations.

  • Maintain a high-value pipeline with CRM discipline — forecasting accurately and following up relentlessly on open opportunities.

Who You Are

  • A hunter by nature — you thrive on building relationships from scratch and opening new doors at the executive level.

  • High-energy and self-motivated — you bring relentless drive to every deal, every week, and you treat your territory like a business you own. Energy is not just a trait; it is how you show up every day.

  • Self-driven and accountable — you own your number without being managed, stay organized across multiple active pursuits, and never let a deal go cold for lack of follow-through.

  • Curious and consultative — you invest time understanding a customer's business before jumping to a pitch.

  • Creative and resourceful — you find ways to move deals forward even when the path isn't obvious.

  • Comfortable with complexity — you can navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles without losing momentum.

  • Collaborative — you know how to loop in the right internal partners (CS, Engineering, Leadership) to win.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas through net-new customer acquisition.

  • SaaS sales expertise, ideally selling complex, high-value solutions to enterprise clients.

  • Experience in fleet management, mobility, automotive, logistics, or adjacent industries is a strong plus.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.

  • CRM discipline (Salesforce or equivalent) and strong forecasting habits.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, industry events, and the SF Bay Area for quarterly team meetings.

Logistics

  • Full-time role, remote-first.

  • Hybrid if based in the SF Bay Area.

  • Priority locations: Texas, Midwest, Atlanta, and Northeast US.

  • Travel approximately 6–10 business days per month, including quarterly visits to the SF Bay Area.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year.

  • On-target earnings (OTE): $250,000–$350,000 — uncapped. Top performers earn above range.

  • Equity participation.

  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid parental leave.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
