Protector Plans is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team in Seattle, WA or Tampa, FL

The Account Executive will perform sales, customer service and technical functions (including reviewing new line and renewal submissions, policy rating, policy administration, policy issuance, change requests/endorsements and policy invoicing) for the selling of property & casualty policies for Dental Professionals.  Products include Dental Malpractice Insurance (Professional Liability), Commercial Property/Package Insurance, General Liability, Cyber liability as well as Life & Benefits products for Dentists, Dental Practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). 

How You Will Contribute:

  • Maintain a renewal book of professional liability coverage. Initiate renewal applications for appropriate carriers for insureds. Review applications submitted for renewals and process to appropriate carriers. Secure required underwriting information and coordinate with carrier for quotes, binding coverage and handling all aspects of customer service on bound business.
  • Present proposal to insured via e-mail or fax and follow up to seek bind order on account.
  • Process through to carrier all correspondence requesting changes, cancellations, requests for binders, and requests for certificates.
  • Create and process Finance Contracts for accounts that request premium financing.
  • Establish and build carrier and customer relationships via phone and/or written correspondence.
  • Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition on new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.
  • Manage the client and prospect relationships to help grow the book of existing accounts, providing, and recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Dental school relationship and presentations, as appropriate.
  • Prepare new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements. Analyze prospect’s needs and current insurance programs and find opportunities to strengthen their risk management structure.
  • Complete necessary research on client inquiries using multiple internal and external vendor systems and resources and prepare responses in real time.
  • Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers.
  • Be responsible for collecting all the premiums due on each account (if applicable).
  • Attend sales meetings as required.
  • Keep informed of industry developments by review of trade.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • State of Washington Property & Casualty License required. (if residing in Washington)
  • State of Florida Property & Casualty (2-20) required. (if residing in Florida)

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • 2+ years Commercial Insurance agency experience
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required; Prefer a college degree.
  • Skill and ability to type 40 wpm. 
  • Operate office equipment and a PC, use computer software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Applied Epic.
  • Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures. 
  • Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines.
  • Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive a motor vehicle, rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record.

Pay Range

$28.85 - $33.66 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
