About Mento

Mento is a human and AI coaching company with the mission to help people perform their best at work. We’re reinventing how companies develop their talent by pairing them with top operators in their field for 1-on-1 coaching and mentorship, and leveraging AI technology to build a solution that can scale our impact.

We’re empowering the employees at the fastest-growing companies, with 5x user growth and 3x revenue growth in the past year. Our partners include Anthropic, Gusto, Hims & Hers, Whatnot, 1Password, Brex, Vercel, and Cox Enterprises.
We’re backed by leading VCs including Slow Ventures, M13, and Twelve Below.

About The Role

As Mento's first Account Manager, you'll partner directly with the VP of Customer Experience to support the full partner lifecycle – from implementation through renewal and expansion. We're seeking someone with experience in client/partner relationships who is also operationally minded and excited by keeping systems moving smoothly. This is a communication and coordination-intensive role (think of the connective tissue between our partners, members, and internal teams). In other words, you'll be the primary point of contact for partners and members, managing relationships and ensuring seamless execution across teams. You'll start by driving day-to-day execution across our partners and over time, you'll build the trusted relationships and operational systems that allow you to own partner accounts independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own day-to-day account management – serve as the operational point of contact for partner accounts, managing ongoing requests, coordinating cross-functional responses, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless communication between partners, members, and internal teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with coaching operations, product/engineering, sales, and leadership teams to surface partner needs, resolve blockers, and improve the member experience – you'll be the voice of the partner internally and drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Design and execute partner-specific programs that drive engagement, prove ROI, and differentiate Mento's coaching experience
  • Own the operational rhythm of partner success – manage renewals tracking and design systems to move accounts toward positive health indicators (high member satisfaction, 100% seat utilization, strong engagement, and renewal readiness)
  • Drive engagement and utilization for partners – proactively reach out to partners, members, coaches, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption, troubleshoot member roadblocks, and ensure high engagement rates that demonstrate program value to partner stakeholders
  • Build and maintain partner-facing documentation (program guides, playbooks, FAQs) and internal operations manuals to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and collaborate with Partner Success to close expansion deals
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You…
  • Excel at communication and collaboration – you're skilled at building alignment across diverse stakeholders, translating partner needs into action, and keeping everyone on the same page even when priorities shift
  • Have a customer-first mindset – you're genuinely invested in member and partner success, and you take pride in helping people unlock their potential through coaching
  • Are highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities – you manage complex partner programs, competing deadlines, and urgent requests without dropping balls
  • Love building trust and credibility with partners – you're a natural relationship-builder who has built trusted relationships with client stakeholders (including VP-level leaders), understanding their organizational goals, and becoming their go-to problem solver
  • Are a team player who operates with high ownership – no task is beneath you, and you proactively identify problems and solve them without needing direction
  • Are technical and tool-savvy – you're fluent in HubSpot, Zapier, and CRM architecture; you learn new tools quickly and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves

Your Qualifications

  • 2-3 years in customer success, account management, or client services at a B2B SaaS or tech company
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships in fast-paced startup environments, including conducting calls, driving onboarding, and managing renewals
  • Strong project management skills – you can design and execute programs from scratch
  • Comfort with data and reporting – able to track account health metrics, build dashboards, and tell stories with data
  • Bonus: Experience working with HR, L&D, or People Ops stakeholders in a B2B context
  • Bonus: Located where a majority of our partners are: SF, LA, NY
Why Work with Us?

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
