Esusu: Building Credit Access for All

Your financial future shouldn't depend on your race, background, or zip code. Yet 45 million Americans remain "credit invisible," while countless others face denials, evictions, and predatory interest rates regularly. Esusu is changing that.

As a financial technology and data platform, we're revolutionizing financial health, identity services, and inclusive decision-making for individuals and businesses alike.

Our impact speaks volumes:

  • $50 billion in credit activity facilitated
  • 5 million+ rental units in our network
  • Trusted partnerships with leading real estate companies, government entities, fintechs, banks, and employers

Through our enterprise services, embedded products, and consumer offerings, we're creating a financial system that works for everyone—right when fintech innovation matters most. Join us in building a future where financial systems are inclusive by design, access is standard, and opportunity reaches everyone.

About the Role

Esusu is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team and oversee a portfolio of strategic clients across the real estate ecosystem, including property owners, operators, and financial technology partners. In this role, you will drive renewals and expansion, build deep relationships with executive and operational stakeholders, and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable impact for our clients and their residents.

What you will help us deliver

  • Own renewals and expansion across a defined book of ~ 50-70 strategic accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding growth and revenue targets.
  • Execute account plans that align Esusu’s platform with client business objectives, portfolio performance, and resident impact goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to support a seamless onboarding, activation, and ongoing value delivery.
  • Monitor account health and proactively identify risk, develop mitigation plans, and coordinate internal resources to execute them.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with executive stakeholders, decision-makers, and day-to-day operators
  • Lead regular cadence meetings and QBRs, using data to tell a story, surface opportunities, and align on next steps
  • Prioritize and track open items, ensuring timely follow-through on operational, technical, and commercial needs
  • Capture the voice of the customer and collaborate with internal teams to improve product, processes, and overall client experience
  • Represent Esusu at industry events and conferences as needed to deepen relationships, gather market intelligence, and support growth.

Core competencies we are hiring for

  • Commercial real estate experience and acumen
  • Proven ability to drive growth and achieve revenue targets
  • Resourcefulness – a proactive, organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executives, operators, and technical partners
  • Technical proficiency – ability to navigate internal and external challenges and resolve obstacles efficiently
  • Proven track record of building trusted, long-term relationships with senior and operational stakeholders

Above and beyond

  • Experience in real estate, property management, and/or fintech
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or other client-facing roles with revenue responsibility
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, and other reporting/analytics tools
  • Understanding of consumer behavior and industry trends, especially in housing or financial services

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
