We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee financial operations with precision and integrity.
Job Summary:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the company. You will have direct reports and be responsible for overseeing employees within the accounting and finance department, providing guidance and mentorship. Additionally, you will report directly to the Director of Finance/Accounting. This role is fully onsite within our downtown Seattle office.
Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supervise direct reports, providing performance feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
  • Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports prepared by the accounting team.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax reporting and payroll laws.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial decision-making.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong experience with multi-currency payment processing, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience managing cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency in accounting operations.

A reasonable, good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary for this position is $130k-$160k. This estimate is dependent on a variety of factors. This position will also include profit sharing, which also depends on a variety of factors.
