Remote, US (temporary with potential for conversion)

We are seeking an experienced, passionate Accounting Manager who will manage the company’s accounting operations and ensure accurate reporting. Your duties will include streamlining accounting processes, supporting the finance team, and building strong business and interpersonal relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversees accurate and timely monthly and quarterly accounting close for the company, including reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Coordinates and supervise accounting team
  • Preparation and review of monthly financial statements
  • Develops and maintains accounting controls by establishing and defining accounting policies and procedures
  • Managing the company’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets, including journal entries in NetSuite
  • Reviews payroll taxes and ensures timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes by payroll service
  • Provides excellent customer service skills, acting as the point of contact for direction on accounting policies
  • Leads accounting automation projects, process improvements, and perform control validations/internal audits

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience of full accounting exposure, including 3 years of management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-moving, start-up environment
  • Advanced knowledge and exposure of NetSuite is a MUST; advanced Excel skills essential
  • Exposure to standard costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Detailed knowledge of US GAAP principles
  • Strong project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, process-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • CPA or equivalent
  • Experience in international finance exposure
  • Experience in the biotech or life sciences field
  • Significant experience in standard costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with tax determination software such as Avalara, or Vertex

Salary and Benefits:

The annual base salary compensation for this role: $125,000 - $140,000. Compensation ranges vary depending on location.  Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits.   Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
