Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist II is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to properties throughout North America. The position is a liaison between the Shared Service Center and the branches.



Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Verify supporting documentation meets documentation requirements.
  • Work with the requestor for additional  information necessary to complete the request, still within the initial SLA agreement.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external business partners while offering unsurpassed customer service.
  • Accounts Payable Specialist II will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time as requested by department management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Capacity to be self-directed while working as a member of a larger team.
  • Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.
  • Basic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
