About VitVio

VitVio is building AI-powered tools to simplify and streamline operating room workflows, so surgical teams can focus on what really matters—patient care. Our platform uses computer vision and context-aware AI to understand actions happening in the OR in real time. From automatically logging surgical stages to coordinating team readiness, we take on the administrative load so clinical staff don’t have to.

Our team has experience founding and scaling leading companies in adjacent industries. We're growing quickly—backed by top-tier investors—and working with some of the most respected hospitals in the US and Europe.

About the Opportunity

We’re hiring a Deployment Strategist (aka Activations Strategist) to join our growing Operations team and own hospital activations end-to-end. This role leads activation planning, project management, and delivery, coordinates cross-functional stakeholders (clinical, IT, cybersec, vendor partners such as Epic), and builds the playbooks, dashboards, and processes needed to scale reliable, timely activations. You’ll be the primary operator who ensures hospitals go-live on time, with a friction-free experience for clinicians and hospital partners.

This role is remote-first and open to candidates in the United States only. On-site travel will be required based on hospital activations requirements (~20-30% of time).

What You’ll Do

Within your first 6 months, you will:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end hospital activations: kickoff, technical & clinical onboarding, validation, and go-live.

  • Coordinate across clinical teams, hospital IT and cybersec, product and engineering, and third-party vendors (e.g., EHR integrations).

  • Own escalation and resolution processes so activation blockers are addressed rapidly and escalated effectively when needed.

  • Develop and maintain activation playbooks, checklists, runbooks, and customer-facing onboarding materials.

  • Design and maintain activation tracking and risk dashboards to provide transparency to internal and hospital stakeholders.

  • Capture and share learnings after each activation: post-mortems, improvement actions, and updates to playbooks.

  • Identify and drive automation or standardization opportunities across the activation lifecycle to reduce manual effort and cycle time.

  • Act as the voice of the hospital during activation and early usage — represent customer needs back to product, engineering, and commercial teams.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
  • Have direct experience running large enterprise software/service activations and projects, clinical implementations, or complex IT rollouts.

  • Are customer-obsessed and proactively work to make the hospital experience simple and successful.

  • Understand complex stakeholder dynamics (clinical champions, IT, cybersec, procurement, vendor management) and can drive alignment across these groups.

  • Are an excellent communicator who can clearly explain the big picture and the next steps to both clinical and technical audiences.

  • Demonstrate strong execution discipline and ownership — you reliably deliver under deadlines and manage operational detail.

  • Include the word “puffin” in your application so we know you’ve read this.

  • Can translate operational needs into playbooks, runbooks, and dashboards that others can follow.

  • Prefer a hands-on, pragmatic approach and can both coordinate people and contribute to tooling/process improvements.

  • (Bonus) Are PMP/PRINCE 2 certified (or have a similar project management certification).

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
