We’re looking for an Ads Product & Engineering Strategy & Operations Lead to join the Ads Platform team.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Ads Platform Product & Engineering leadership to define and evolve strategy, ensuring alignment with Snap’s overall Ads business objectives

  • Translate long-term product and platform vision into clear, measurable goals, success metrics, and prioritized roadmaps

  • Lead cross-functional strategy and planning processes to align teams on priorities, dependencies, and execution timelines

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact technical and cross-functional initiatives, removing blockers and ensuring measurable outcomes

  • Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, and frameworks that provide visibility into program health and impact

  • Build and execute communication strategies that keep internal and cross-functional stakeholders aligned on progress, outcomes, and priorities

  • Design and run operating rhythms such as roadmap reviews, QBRs, and org all-hands to drive clarity, focus, and accountability

  • Partner with enabling functions to optimize resource allocation, improve decision-making, and strengthen operational excellence across the organization

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and connective tissue across Ads Platform, bridging strategy and execution to ensure alignment and clarity across product, engineering, and business stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Grafana, Looker, Tableau) building dashboards, source control (e.g. GitHub), ticket management (e.g. JIRA)

  • Strong technical fluency—enough to deeply engage with engineering, product and business orgs and translate complex concepts into strategic clarity.

  • Data-driven decision-making instincts paired with polished executive communication—clear, persuasive, and concise across written and presentation mediums and ability to influence without authority

  • Collaborative, diplomatic, and resilient: thrives in high-velocity environments that demand quick alignment across diverse stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent years of experience

  • 11+ years of experience spanning Engineering / Data Science / Technical Program Management leading cross-functional efforts in the software or tech industry in a data-driven environment.

  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ads domain expertise

  • A proven track record of leading large-scale, ambiguous programs across distributed teams in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, especially in the areas of improving platform reliability, operational stability and performance of production systems

  • Experience working directly with engineers and contributing to product and technical design, architectural trade-offs, and roadmap planning

  • Proven impact launching operational discipline at the scale of engineering organizations, emphasizing process, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment

  • Technical foundation (e.g. Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, technical MBA) or prior hands-on experience in engineering/product management or a similar discipline.

  • Experience scaling operations in early/rapid-growth, matrixed, or cross-functional environments.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
