Configure AI tools, build automations, test and document workflows, and ensure that AI deployments operate reliably. This is an internal, delivery-focused role — the AI Advisor is not the client face but is the technical engine behind every engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and deploy AI tools as specified in Phase 1 engagement plans (e.g., Copilot for M365, Harvey, Clio Duo, Casetext, document automation tools)
- Build, test, and document automations and AI-assisted workflows using platforms such as Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or equivalent
- Conduct technical environment setup: tenant configuration, user provisioning, API connections, integration testing, and QA validation
- Perform data mapping and light data migration tasks required to support AI tool onboarding
- Maintain implementation logs, configuration notes, and handoff documentation for each engagement in SMB Team’s systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment; escalate blockers to the fCTO with clear documentation
- Contribute reusable templates, implementation checklists, and workflow SOPs to the SMB Team practice library
- Stay current on legal AI tooling and integration capabilities; proactively surface relevant updates or new options to the fCTO
- Support the fCTO in pre-engagement scoping by assessing technical feasibility and effort estimates for proposed implementations
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a technical implementation, IT support, or automation engineering role
- Demonstrated ability to configure and integrate SaaS tools; experience with M365/Google Workspace environments and API-based integrations
- Proficiency with at least one automation platform (Make, Zapier, Power Automate, n8n, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-based tools and how to configure them in a business context; prior exposure to legal tech a plus but not required
- Strong documentation habits — can produce clear SOPs, configuration guides, and implementation logs without prompting
- Comfortable working from a scoping document or engagement plan without requiring step-by-step direction
- Basic understanding of data privacy and security considerations relevant to cloud and AI tool deployment
- Must be able to independently execute technical implementation tasks from a spec or engagement plan — this role owns delivery, not strategy
- Must produce clean, thorough documentation for every configuration and deployment; undocumented work is incomplete work
- Must communicate blockers and risks promptly and clearly to the fCTO — no surprises
- Must be current on AI tools and integration platforms; willingness to learn new tooling quickly is essential
- Must work within SMB Team’s systems and contribute to shared playbooks — this is a team practice, not a solo role
- No direct client communication responsibility; all client-facing interaction is handled by the fCTO. However, work product must be polished enough to be reviewed and presented to clients by the fCTO
