About Tribe AI

At Tribe, we’re on a mission to help enterprises realize the value of AI for their business. Every large enterprise wants to use AI to transform how they operate — but many don’t have the capabilities to do it. That gap is our opportunity.

We’re an AI-native services company that helps enterprises build and deploy best-in-class AI products that deliver real business impact. We partner closely with OpenAI and Anthropic, giving us rare visibility into the most advanced models, roadmaps, and GTM strategies in the world.

About the Role

As an AI Solutions Architect at Tribe AI, you’ll sit at the intersection of frontier AI capability and enterprise reality. You’ll serve as the technical bridge between our clients and internal AI experts—partnering closely with General Managers (Enterprise AEs) to understand customer needs, define high-impact AI use cases, and architect tailored solutions that can actually ship.

This is not a “demo-only” role. You’ll lead technical discovery, make architectural tradeoffs, and build clarity in ambiguous environments—often pressure-testing ideas through rapid prototypes. You’ll also collaborate closely with frontier model labs like OpenAI and Anthropic (e.g., working sessions/calls with their Applied AI / solutions teams) to unblock constraints, validate approaches, and stay close to emerging capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead technical discovery with customers to understand workflows, constraints, data realities, and success criteria—and translate that into a clear technical plan.

• Architect end-to-end AI systems (GenAI + traditional ML when needed), spanning data ingestion, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, deployment, and UX.

• Design and deliver rapid prototypes that make abstract ideas concrete and de-risk key decisions (cost/latency/reliability, integration feasibility, quality thresholds).

• Develop reference architectures and technical frameworks that demonstrate what’s possible with current and emerging AI technologies.

• Guide clients through the AI landscape—capabilities, limitations, tradeoffs, and what it takes to operate AI systems in production over time.

• Partner with sales teams to translate technical concepts into clear value propositions, proposals, business cases, and technical presentations.

• Define technical requirements and scalable architecture patterns for production-grade systems (security, governance, observability, evaluation, and reliability).

• Collaborate with fulfillment to ensure solutions align with customer needs and leverage Tribe AI’s capabilities—and help create smooth handoffs from pre-sales to delivery.

• Stay current on frontier developments, bringing in SMEs from the Tribe network and collaborating with partners (including OpenAI/Anthropic) to keep customers ahead of the curve.

• Act as a trusted advisor to technical and executive stakeholders navigating AI implementation and adoption challenges.

About You

• 5+ years leading technical workstreams; experience as a Solutions Architect, or a similar customer-facing technical role in the AI, cloud, data platform, or backend infrastructure space.

• Strong customer-facing instincts: you can run discovery, ask the right questions, and turn ambiguity into clear architecture and next steps.

• Experience scoping projects and estimating effort to build end-to-end applications (including assumptions, risks, milestones, and dependencies).

• Strong fluency in Generative AI and the evolving LLM ecosystem and you’ve built or consulted on AI/GenAI systems in production.

• Expertise with production cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and modern deployment patterns.

• Systems thinker who can balance speed and rigor: you’re comfortable making tradeoffs and explaining them to both engineers and execs.

• Excellent communication skills (written + verbal): you can make complex technical concepts feel simple and actionable.

Why Join Us

• Work at the frontier: collaborate closely with OpenAI and Anthropic teams as part of real customer work—staying close to what’s emerging and what’s actually deployable.

• High-leverage, end-to-end ownership: shape what gets built and how—from first conversation through architecture, prototypes, and production path.

• Diverse, cutting-edge projects across industries—solving problems that rarely have playbooks.

• Build real systems: production-bound architectures, real constraints, real impact (not “innovation theater”).

• Learn fast in a high-talent, low-bureaucracy environment where clarity and execution matter.

• Shape the future of enterprise AI implementation alongside leaders who care deeply about excellence and outcomes.

Travel Requirements

• Frequently traveling to see clients and partners

• ~1X per month

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
