Team Overview
The Data Science and Analytics team drives advanced analytics and AI The Data Science and Analytics team drives advanced analytics and AI solutions to solve complex business problems and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This team plays a critical role in translating business strategy into scalable analytics solutions that generate measurable impact. Reporting to the Manager I, Data Science and Analytics, the role operates within a cross-functional environment and partners closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- As a Jr. Data Scientist, you will support the development of analytical solutions and data-driven insights that help solve complex business problems. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for students in their final year of study or recent graduates who are eager to build a career in Data Science.
- Support the development, testing, and deployment of analytical and machine learning solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Assist in data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation activities.
- Support the creation of reports, visualizations, and presentations.
- Collaborate with team members on research initiatives and data-driven projects.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor degree or recently graduated in a quantitative field.
- Candidates from non-quantitative fields who completed Data Science coursework are encouraged to apply.
- No professional Data Science experience is required.
- Demonstrated passion for data, analytics, and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and intellectual curiosity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Required Technical Skills
- Foundational programming knowledge in Python or R.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Domain of statistics, probability, and data analysis concepts.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts through academic projects or coursework.
- Ability to work with structured datasets and derive insights.
We’re Also Looking for the Preferred Skills Below
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Tutor, or Student Mentor.
- Participation in university research projects, academic publications, or conference presentations.
- Completion of academic, personal, or capstone projects involving data analysis or machine learning.
- Participation in data science competitions or hackathons.
- Experience collaborating on multidisciplinary team projects.
