The Caterpillar Enterprise Strategy Division is seeking an Analytics Manager to lead a team of analytics professionals, pairing quantitative techniques with business acumen to provide data-driven insight and analysis in support of our global Rental Growth Plans and strategy.
This position will provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Rental Growth Plan analytics team members and projects. In addition, this position will utilize multiple data sets throughout the enterprise and dealer network to identify data discrepancies, patterns, trends, and relationships, and will present and provide analysis through data visualization tools.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage team of data analytics professionals supporting Rental growth plans
  • Partner with cross functional teams of internal Caterpillar and dealer stakeholders to develop impactful analysis
  • Wrangle, analyze, and interpret data to provide data-driven insights for individual dealer projects
  • Present analysis to senior leaders and advisors
  • Add unique analytical perspective to cross-functional teams
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for continuously improving rental analysis

Basic Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of dealer and/or Rental business concepts, tools, and processes with ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Business Data Analysis: Ability to collect, identify, analyze, interpret, and explain business data using various techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking: Working knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning
  • Customer Focus: Experience with the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions, and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • Experience querying and analyzing relational databases (SQL) paired with analytical programming experience (Python, R, etc.)

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $204,720.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
