About the role:

The Applications Specialist is responsible for assisting in database administrative functions. Using a variety of tools that range from Salesforce, Excel, MS Suite, Tableau and the company’s Finance and HCM platforms, our specialists work to create tools to assist all parts of our business.


In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • First point of contact in providing technical assistance for incoming requests and issues that may arrive via emails, chat, phone calls, in-person, or the company’s ticketing system
  • Ensure all support requests are logged and categorized in our ticketing system even when they are not submitted natively
  • Perform daily tasks and run audit reports to support and maintain day-to-day operations
  • Create, manage, and maintain user licenses and access permissions across multiple platforms
  • Basic troubleshooting: password resets, account access, along with other common software problems
  • Create, manage, and maintain user licenses and access permissions across multiple platforms
  • Remain up to date on update releases including new functionality and changes that may impact our systems
  • Create validation rules to prevent user error
  • Assist end users in creating or editing reports, dashboards, or list views
  • Provide testing and QA support as needed
  • Assist in documenting existing processes and workflows to strengthen institutional knowledge
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

As a candidate, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in a help desk role
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification or experience with its third party apps- such as Tableau, Form Assembly, Conga, or Jitterbit- is a plus
  • Experience in Jira or FreshService a plus
  • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
  • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
