- Own and evolve the reference architecture for ArcGIS Enterprise deployments on Kubernetes
- Define scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platform designs, including high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Provide architectural guidance across key ArcGIS components (Portal, ArcGIS Server, Data Stores, Web Adaptors)
- Establish best practices for authentication, authorization, identity integration, and platform security
- Partner with DevOps and platform engineering teams to ensure solutions are production-ready and operationally sound
- Guide application teams on architecture decisions and ensure alignment with platform capabilities and constraints
- Define and promote non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, reliability, and observability
- Contribute to governance by documenting architecture standards, identifying risks, and influencing platform roadmap decisions
- Hands-on experience designing and operating ArcGIS Enterprise in production environments
- Experience building and scaling enterprise systems on Kubernetes-based platforms (e.g., AWS EKS, AKS)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture principles
- Experience designing for scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency
- Ability to guide and influence application teams on architecture and non-functional requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, platform, and business stakeholders
- Interest or experience in GIS analytics, data-intensive applications, or large-scale platform environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD practices, and observability concepts
The expected base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $215,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, which is subject to company and individual performance.
