Job Description
Seeking a skilled network engineer to lead a small network team, design, deploy, and maintain enterprise networks having expertise with both Cisco and Aruba network solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ArubaOS, Aruba switches, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Pensando Policy and Services Manager, Aruba Fabric Composer, and Aruba NetEdit.
This position will require extensive travel to China Lake, extending up to several months at a time.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise networks using Aruba and Cisco gear
Configure and troubleshoot wide range of network devices, systems, and architectures to include LAN/WAN, VPNs, SD-WAN, and dynamic routing protocols
Implement and optimize network security policies, including NAC (802.1X), QoS, and firewall rules
Collaborate with diverse range of Cyber/IT teams and customers to implement LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPNs and NAC policies
Monitor network performance using Aruba Central and other similar solutions
Provide support for network outages, performance issues, and security incidents
Collaborate with Cyber/IT teams to migrate legacy systems, upgrade firmware, and document network topologies
Ensure operational resilience and reliability is built into network designs
Secure devices and software with appropriate DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)
Leverage vendor security best practice, and Industry security best practice as needed to ensure a high level of cyber security and reliability
Test and apply upgrades and patches to improve functionality and remediate vulnerabilities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar discipline (Additional 6 years of experience may be substituted for the degree)
At least 4 years of experience designing, configuring, or deploying network solutions, particularly Aruba solutions
Experience testing and applying DoD STIGs, security configurations, and patches on network devices
Compliant with DoD 8570/8140 cyber workforce directive (Compliant IAT II certification, such as COMPTIA Security+ or similar certification, must be obtained within 6 months of hiring date)
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
