JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You'll Do:

Marketing Campaign Management

  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for Astro PayTV products and Chinese content.

  • Work closely with Product, Content, Brand, Digital, Social Media and Content Partners to translate marketing plans into effective GTM activities.

  • Coordinate with creative/media agencies and internal teams on campaign briefs, assets, timelines and execution.

  • Support the development of campaign messaging and value propositions based on consumer and content insights.

Trade Marketing & Sales Support

  • Support trade marketing initiatives for PayTV products across stores, kiosks, roadshows and other customer touchpoints.

  • Develop and coordinate sales collaterals and trade materials to support customer acquisition and conversion.

  • Work closely with Sales to ensure key product propositions, promotions and Chinese content campaigns are effectively communicated at the frontline.

  • Conduct market/store visits to monitor execution and identify opportunities for improvement.

Chinese Content Marketing

  • Support marketing campaigns for key Chinese dramas, variety shows and other Chinese content launches.

  • Work with Content and external partners to translate content highlights, talent and key selling points into compelling consumer communications.

  • Support content launch plans across ATL, digital, social, trade and other relevant touchpoints.

  • Stay updated on Chinese entertainment trends, audience preferences and competitor activities to identify relevant opportunities.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Develop a strong understanding of Chinese-speaking audiences and PayTV consumer segments, including their content preferences and consumption behaviour.

  • Monitor competitor, streaming and entertainment trends to identify opportunities for Astro.

  • Translate insights into relevant campaign ideas, messaging and execution opportunities.

Campaign Performance & Reporting

  • Track and analyse campaign and content performance against agreed KPIs.

  • Prepare campaign reports highlighting key results, learnings and recommendations.

  • Apply learnings to improve future PayTV and Chinese content campaigns.

  • Manage campaign timelines, follow-ups and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Adhoc Tasks

  • Work closely with Product, Content, Brand, Digital, Social Media, Sales, Trade Marketing and external partners.

  • Support other marketing initiatives and projects across the wider PayTV portfolio as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in marketing.

  • Strong background in content marketing, entertainment marketing, media, digital platforms, telecommunications, streaming, subscription-based businesses, or consumer brands.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Passion for media, entertainment, sports, digital content, and evolving consumer trends.

Critical Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on growth, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue generation.

  • Ability to translate data, insights, and market trends into actionable marketing strategies.

  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, customer journey marketing, and lifecycle management.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Experience managing agencies, production partners, and cross-functional project teams is good to have.

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
