About Priorities USA

Priorities USA runs effective, large-scale, digital voter mobilization and persuasion campaigns in key battleground states. We invest in cutting-edge research and data. We build training and tools to grow our collective, progressive power. In partnership with movement allies, we employ innovative digital strategies and empower voters.

Position Summary

The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is a key creative partner on Priorities USA's Marketing and Content team, reporting directly to the Creative Director. The ACD leads the development of scripts, pitches, and creative concepts that translate research and messaging strategy into compelling content for voter audiences. We are looking for a creative teammate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and approaches every brief with the conviction that effective political content should feel less like an ad and more like a genuine connection to voters. The right candidate brings a strong political instinct, a writer's sensibility, and hands-on production experience that includes comfort managing, hiring, and directing vendors and crews.

This is a remote, cycle-based position, ending at the end of 2026. The role includes occasional travel, and working hours are 10AM-6PM ET regardless of location. Please note that we are not currently registered to do business in all locations; we are not accepting applicants based in Florida, Hawaii, Missouri, or Texas.

Position Responsibilities

  • Own the development of scripts, creative concepts, and pitches for paid digital programs from initial brief through final delivery, in close partnership with the Creative Director.
  • Write video scripts, narratives, and treatments that translate research and messaging strategy into content that resonates with diverse voter audiences across digital platforms.
  • Lead video productions end-to-end, from pre-production planning and hiring vendors and crews through on-site direction and post-production oversight, with willingness to travel for field shoots.
  • Track project-level budgets across individual productions, reconciling vendor invoices and flagging spend issues to the Creative Director and Director of Project Management.
  • Bring cultural fluency and a sharp digital instinct to every brief, pushing creative executions beyond traditional ad formats.

Position Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative role, including at least one election cycle in political advertising, campaigns, or issue advocacy.
  • Exceptional script writing and narrative development skills, with the ability to craft short-form video concepts for diverse voter audiences.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and pitching ability; able to develop original ideas from a brief and build compelling treatments independently.
  • Hands-on video production experience, including comfort hiring and directing vendors and crews, managing talent, and overseeing logistics in the field.
  • Deep cultural fluency and a finger on the pulse of the digital and social landscape; able to identify how trends, formats, and cultural moments can be translated into innovative political content that genuinely moves people.
  • Comfort tracking project-level budgets and reconciling vendor invoices, with the ability to flag spend issues clearly and promptly.
  • Familiarity with video editing, static ad formats, and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000–$145,000 commensurate with experience. Priorities USA’s competitive benefits package includes 100% of medical, dental, and vision insurance premium covered for the employee and 75% for dependents, a 401K retirement plan with up to 4% employer match, an employer sponsored life insurance policy with a voluntary add on, paid holidays, and flexible PTO. Employees also have access to cybersecurity protection benefits.

Equal Opportunity Employer

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
