As an Associate Data Analyst, Customer Support, you will utilize your analysis skills to interpret client data requests and deliver packaged analytics used by some of the largest private capital investors, investment banks and service providers globally. As an Associate Data Analyst, Customer Support, you will work with the support team to create complex customized reports for clients. Customer experience pain points you identify will inform product improvements and allow PitchBook to optimize the platform for customers worldwide.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Build custom charts and visualizations using Salesforce, Excel, and SQL
- Utilize strong Microsoft Excel and SQL skills in order to provide high-quality data analysis and support to clients
- Serve as a data expert for all use cases that utilize PitchBook’s broad database
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal to ensure smooth resolution of customer requests
- Manage and complete time-sensitive custom research requests for subscribing clients
- Manage and respond to inquiries from clients and internal colleagues and the general public regarding data requests and published research
- Work collaboratively with support team with an emphasis on providing guidance and expertise to Tier 1 and 2 specialists
- Work continuously to document the details of each interaction in Salesforce in order to easily research customer projects and to inform product improvements
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 1-3 years’ experience in financial services role or experience working with large datasets and/or 1+ years of Tier 2 Customer Support at PitchBook
- Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel including pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Have experience working in SQL
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Interested in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital
- Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
- Have terrific prioritization skills related to project work
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation techniques (DCF, comps, etc.), IRRs, asset allocations, etc.
- Team player with the desire to try new ideas in order to achieve greater levels of success
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation
- This position is non-exempt and paid a salary of $75,000-$75,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
