Dentsu Sports Analytics is seeking a highly motivated and proven individual to join our team as an Associate. As a leading sports and entertainment research and data firm, we provide innovative solutions and insights to drive strategic decision-making within the industry. The Associate role will report to a Manager with Dentsu Sports Analytics and be critical to delivering sponsorship valuations and custom research reports to our clients.

Job Description:

Location: New York, NY or Norwalk, CT (Hybrid 2 days per week in one of these offices is required)

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in research, data analytics or related field, along with working knowledge of sports/entertainment marketing/sponsorship.

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, marketing, sports management, or a related field.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • A desire and willingness to travel as required to conduct on-site research at events.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Power BI, R, or Python a plus

  • A passion for the business of sports and entertainment.

  • A strong desire to make a positive impact on the sports and entertainment industry.

  • A commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all aspects of media measurement and sponsorship valuation projects, including media analysis and reporting.

  • Assist fan tracking research team in managing data collection, quality control, data analysis, and reporting.

  • Travel to events and supervise on-site research/data collection team.

  • Manage research and technology vendors to ensure appropriate project delivery. Includes time spent training AI tools to scan/monitor broadcasts and identify client logos.

  • Generate and communicate recommendations, insights, observations, and implications based on consumer/fan research, media research, and syndicated studies.

  • Support other areas of the business, including digital analytics, new business outreach, qualitative research, etc.

  • Some travel required (including weekends/holidays) to provide logistical support to research teams (i.e. on-site support, managing on-site staff).

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sports and entertainment research and data.

The annual salary range for this position is $62,500-$80,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
