The Total Rewards team at Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director, Total Rewards to serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all aspects of Total Rewards, including compensation strategy, pay decisions, and program design.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all aspects of Total Rewards, including compensation strategy, pay decisions, and program design
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation and/or benefits programs aligned to business strategy and market competitiveness
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent application of pay practices, governance, and policies across the organization
  • Conduct and interpret market analyses to inform pay positioning, structure design, and competitive strategy
  • Support annual compensation processes and provide guidance on complex or sensitive pay decisions
  • Drive initiatives to optimize workforce affordability, including labor mix, pay progression, and cost management strategies
  • Translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise-wide Total Rewards projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, and new program development
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal governance standards
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering strong technical expertise and business acumen

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards or related disciplines with increasing scope and impact
  • Experience managing or leading large-scale compensation programs or initiatives

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights and recommendations
  • Background supporting technical or engineering populations
  • Familiarity with executive compensation and/or incentive design
  • Experience with data visualization tools or compensation modeling

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
