Role OverviewThe Associate, Corporate Development (Underwriting) plays a more independent role in evaluating acquisition and de novo ASC opportunities, owning significant portions of the underwriting process and supporting deal execution from initial evaluation through close.
This role is suited for a mid-career professional with prior transaction experience who can operate with limited oversight, exercise judgment, and partner closely with senior leaders on investment decisions.
What You’ll DoOwn the development and refinement of detailed financial models for acquisition and de novo opportunities
Lead analysis of historical performance, forecasts, and key value drivers
Pressure-test assumptions and identify financial risks, sensitivities, and upside opportunities
Play a key role in financial due diligence, including review of diligence materials and third-party valuation reports
Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to Deal Team and senior leadership
Support structuring considerations and post-close performance tracking
Continuously improve underwriting tools, templates, and processes
3–6+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, healthcare finance, transaction advisory, or a related field
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
Strong understanding of valuation concepts, return metrics, and deal economics
Ability to independently manage workstreams and drive analysis to completion
Strong business judgment and ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders
Preferred (Not Required): Direct healthcare or ASC experience and/or experience supporting joint ventures or physician partnership structures
