Reporting into the Product Manager of Essentials Payment Management, the Associate Product Manager for Availity’s Remittance Viewer will lead a dedicated scrum team focused on delivering secure access to electronic remittance advice. This role works closely with cross-functional teams and clients to gather, document, and refine product requirements and user stories, while contributing to the overall Essentials roadmap. Using Agile/Scrum methodologies, the Associate Product Manager will oversee product development and QA activities to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders across multiple channels. Responsibilities include shaping the product roadmap, defining project scope, leading standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and driving end-to-end execution.

Role Summary

· Serve as Associate Product Manager supporting the Payment Management roadmap.

· Lead cross-functional teams (analysts, developers, designers) through the full product development lifecycle—from ideation and discovery through launch and continuous improvement.

· Partner with the Payment Management Product Manager to shape overall product strategy, identify market opportunities, and define product and feature vision.

· Collaborate with design and technology teams to own feature definition, prioritization, roadmapping, and planning activities.

· Act as the primary driver of product delivery, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder needs and market demands.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and customers to design scalable, user-centered solutions.

· Drive planning efforts, go-to-market strategy, and remove blockers for scrum teams.

· Leverage strong understanding of the product lifecycle and Agile methodologies to ensure successful team collaboration and execution.

· Serve as an internal and external evangelist of the product, articulating ROI and market value.

To be qualified for the role, you have:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Management or Product Ownership, including full product lifecycle from discovery through launch.

· Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, with specific knowledge of revenue cycle management and 835 X12 transactions. This is required to be considered for the role.

· Proven ability to lead cross-functional Agile teams and execute on product roadmaps.

· Experience managing stakeholder expectations and communicating across varying levels and functions.

· Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization across multiple teams and disciplines.

· General understanding of modern technology architecture, database concepts, virtualization, and the impact of HIPAA/privacy regulations.

· Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

· Strong analytical thinking skills, with comfort working with KPIs, metrics, and feedback loops to evaluate product performance.

· Demonstrated user-centric mindset, with the ability to advocate for customer needs in product decisions.

· Effective prioritization and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

What you will be doing:

· Enabling execution of the Payment Management roadmap by delivering commercially viable solutions and driving go-to-market success.

· Partnering with the Payment Management Product Manager to define and prioritize problems, requirements, and features.

· Engaging with internal stakeholders, health plans, and providers to understand workflows and business needs.

· Collaborating with design teams and user groups to validate concepts and refine solutions.

· Informing and influence product vision, roadmap, and business cases for data-driven and analytics-focused solutions.

· Defining and monitor operational, performance, and value metrics to ensure product success.

· Gathering and refine requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

· Leading daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure Agile alignment.

· Supporting scrum teams in building and maintaining Payment Management product features.

· Leading customer implementation and support activities.

· Providing release support for both major and off-cycle deployments.

· Gathering and incorporating user feedback to inform future enhancements.

· Collaborating with technical teams (Architects, Developers, Analysts) to ensure delivery aligns with product vision.

· Ensuring all products are documented, delivered to specification, and meet quality standards.

· Evangelizing the product internally and externally, representing the company’s strategic vision and differentiation.

· Being accountable for successful delivery and performance of the product in the market.
