If you have a good attitude and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done, PitchBook is the place for you.

About the Role:

The GTM Systems team within Revenue Operations builds and evolves the systems that enable go-to-market execution, operational scale, and reliable reporting. We operate as an internal product and platform organization: clarifying stakeholder needs, aligning cross-functionally, and delivering durable solutions with a bias for simplicity, data quality, and user experience.

PitchBook is looking for an Associate Salesforce Administrator to support day-to-day administration of our Salesforce platform. In this role, you will complete configuration work, manage user access and permissions, and help ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and easy to use for our internal teams.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic Salesforce configuration including creating and updating custom fields, objects (as applicable), page layouts, record types, picklists, validation rules, and related metadata under established standards
  • Support Salesforce security and access management: user provisioning and deprovisioning, license assignment, role hierarchy updates, profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, public groups, queues, and sharing settings (under guidance)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot permissions and access issues, partnering with IT/Security and system owners as needed
  • Support routine operational tasks such as sandbox refresh coordination, change tracking, and promoting simple changes using established deployment processes
  • Assist with intake and triage of admin requests via ticketing workflows, communicating status and timelines and ensuring issues are documented and resolved
  • Help improve data quality by supporting standard processes (e.g., required fields, validation, duplicate prevention), assisting with cleanup efforts, and escalating systemic issues
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, procedures, and common support issues to enable consistent administration and self-service
  • Participate in platform release activities by reviewing Salesforce release notes, completing assigned testing, and supporting user communications for minor updates
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of experience administering Salesforce (or equivalent hands-on platform administration experience supporting business users)
  • Foundational knowledge of Salesforce configuration (fields, layouts, validation rules, record types) and the Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing)
  • Ability to manage user onboarding/offboarding tasks accurately and with a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow defined change management processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset when supporting internal stakeholders
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) preferred; willingness to obtain within the first 6 to 12 months if not already certified
  • Experience working in a ticketing system and/or an Agile environment is a plus
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
