The role will be based in Philadelphia / New York with the expectation of a hybrid work model.

PineBridge Investments is seeking an Associate or Vice President, Client Relations is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with corporate and public sector institutional clients, including corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, sovereign entities, and public pension funds. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, supporting asset retention and growth, and acting as a key liaison between clients and internal investment, product, and operational teams.

This role will serve as an ambassador and client advocate overseeing full client life cycle, client needs & mandate expansion opportunities. This role will touch all asset classes and requires a solid understanding of the asset management business given the added complexities of supporting institutional clients. The individual will possess a solid knowledge across asset classes (e.g., public fixed income, equities, private markets, multi-asset) and across investment vehicles (e.g., mutual funds, SMA).

The Associate or Vice President, Client Relations reports directly to the head of Americas Client Relations with a functional reporting line into the Head of Institutional Sales, Americas.

Primary Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate and/or public institutional clients
  • Develop relationships with investment staff, treasurers, pension boards, and consultants
  • Understand client investment objectives, governance structures, and policy constraints
  • In concert with sales, create and execute client-specific relationship plans to drive net new flows and revenue growth

Client Service, Communication, Reporting

  • Deliver high-touch service across all aspects of the client lifecycle (onboarding, ongoing support, issue resolution)
  • Lead/assist with meeting preparation, follow-ups
  • Ensure consistent and proactive communication with clients regarding market developments and firm updates
  • Facilitate client needs; Lead/oversee deliverables including due diligence questionnaires (DDQs); ad-hoc client requests

Internal collaboration

  • Liaise and establish strong relationships with internal teams (Client Reporting/Performance, RFP, Marketing, Compliance, Investments, Billing, Operations, and Legal) to ensure client account maintenance and reporting needs are met. Utilize all resources available to develop, and deliver client-ready reporting, in accordance with client-specified timelines.
  • Partner with sales and product specialists
  • Participate in team projects to enhance internal client service procedures and streamline the flow of information

Market Intelligence & Business Tracking

  • Maintain accurate reporting of pipeline, flows, and engagement activity via CRM tools (SalesForce)
  • Monitor industry trends across institutional client channels.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7 and 63/65 or 66)
  • Associate: 3–6 years in investment management, institutional client service, or financial services
  • VP: 6–8 years in institutional relationship management, asset management, or investment consulting

Skills & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of institutional investment products and solutions across asset classes.
  • Strong knowledge of Pension landscape
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Team player with flexibility to adapt
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple deliverables at once
  • Ability to organize information and data in a presentable manner, viewing the information through the recipient’s eyes
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office software, especially PowerPoint and Excel, with experience producing high quality presentations and reports. Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.

Location/Travel:

  • Location: Philadelphia, PA
  • Periodic presence in satellite in NY & NJ Offices
  • 10 - 30% Travel for client meetings and/or team support

*Salary Range: $128,000-$210,000 annually + bonus + benefits
