Responsible for managing and maintaining systems within the AWS cloud environment, ensuring infrastructure stability, security, and optimal performance, while also collaborating with teams to implement and maintain cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, databases, and more.
  • Ensuring systems are up and running, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implementing and enforcing security policies, managing user access and permissions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Developing and maintaining automated solutions for tasks like deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Utilizing scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and manage infrastructure.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborating with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement cloud solutions.
  • Communicating technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Monitoring and Performance:

  • Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues before they impact users.
  • Optimizing infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

AWS Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of AWS services, architecture, and best practices.
  • Experience with AWS CLI, SDKs, and API tools.

Other Skills:

  • Experience with Linux or Windows systems administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills. – Financial or FinTech experience- ideally Financial.

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate.
