Job Overview: 

As an Azure Stack HCI Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization's hybrid cloud infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure Stack HCI. This role requires deep technical knowledge of Azure Stack HCI, hyper-converged infrastructure, and related Microsoft technologies. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Storage Spaces Direct. 

They will also have experience with HCI architecture and design tools and technologies, as well as with Azure Stack HCI troubleshooting and problem resolution. 

The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. 

The Microsoft Azure Stack HCI Engineer will report to the Infrastructure Manager and will work closely with other members of the IT team, as well as with stakeholders from other departments. 

Responsibilities: 

Infrastructure Management & Support: Manage, maintain, and support the Azure Stack HCI infrastructure, including the creation, deployment, and administration of virtual machines, storage, and networking components. 

System Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance of the Azure Stack HCI infrastructure and perform troubleshooting and resolution for any system issues. 

Security & Compliance: Ensure that all Azure Stack HCI deployments meet the organization's security standards and compliance requirements. Implement and manage security measures such as access controls, firewalls, and encryption. 

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for the Azure Stack HCI infrastructure. Test and verify backup and recovery procedures regularly. 

Documentation: Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Maintain records of system performance, issues, and resolutions. 

Consultation & Collaboration: Provide technical consultation and advice to other IT teams, business units, and management. Collaborate with other teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives. 

Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Stack HCI certifications are highly desirable. 

Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Azure Stack HCI or similar technologies. 

Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of Azure Stack HCI, hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networking. Familiarity with Windows Server, Azure services, and related Microsoft technologies. 

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. 

Other: Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in Azure Stack HCI and related technologies. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Azure Stack HCI security policies and procedures. 
  • Monitor Azure Stack HCI performance and identify potential problems. 
  • Perform regular backups of Azure Stack HCI data. 
  • Respond to Azure Stack HCI outages and incidents. 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Storage Spaces Direct. 
  • Experience with HCI architecture and design tools and technologies. 
  • Experience with Azure Stack HCI troubleshooting and problem resolution. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
