Position Overview 
ThriftBooks is seeking experienced Benefits & Leave Administrator to oversee employee benefits, leave of absence, and workers' compensation programs while delivering exceptional service and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.


What You Will Do
As the Benefits & Leave Administrator, you'll manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs including health and welfare benefits, COBRA, and the 401(k) plan. You'll oversee all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state-paid leave programs, ADA-related leave accommodations, parental leave, and workers' compensation. You'll partner with employees, managers, and insurance carriers to resolve issues, support return-to-work efforts, maintain accurate HRIS records, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

You'll also support annual benefit renewals and Open Enrollment, prepare compliance reporting, analyze program data, recommend process improvements, and help develop employee communications, resources, and wellbeing programs that enhance the overall employee experience.


Location
This is a hybrid position with 3+ in-person days in Tukwila, WA. 


Base Salary
$33.65/hr. - $38.46/hr. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience.
  • Three to five years of experience administering employee benefits, leave of absence, and/or workers' compensation programs.
  • Experience administering FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, and other employment laws.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with HRIS and benefit administration systems.  Paycom experience a plus.
  • Strong MS Office Suit knowledge, proficient in Excel desired.
  • Experience working with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS, or similar professional certification.
