About WorkOS 🚀

WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Vercel, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control—helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.

About the role 💭

We’re hiring a Brand Designer to lead the evolution and execution of the WorkOS brand across our website and digital ecosystem. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional partners to create scalable, beautiful, and performant web experiences that shape how developers and enterprise customers experience WorkOS online. You’ll also help guide the continued growth of our UI design system and overall digital design quality.

You’ll join a close-knit, down-to-earth team that cares deeply about craft, creativity, and collaboration. While your primary focus will be owning web experiences, including the homepage, product pages, launch weeks, campaign microsites, and event experiences, you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to broader brand initiatives across digital and physical formats.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership over the digital expression of a fast-growing, design-forward company.

Responsibilities ✔️
  • Lead the design and evolution of the WorkOS website and broader digital ecosystem, including marketing pages, launch weeks, campaign experiences, and event sites

  • Partner closely with designers, developers, marketers, and leadership to elevate the quality and consistency of all digital experiences

  • Evolve and maintain a scalable UI design system across web and product marketing surfaces

  • Translate complex technical concepts into intuitive, elegant, and developer-friendly experiences

  • Create cohesive visual and interaction patterns that strengthen the WorkOS brand across every digital touchpoint

  • Continuously improve design quality through user feedback, experimentation, analytics, and evolving best practices

  • Ensure all experiences are responsive, accessible, performant, and thoughtfully implemented across devices

  • Leverage modern AI-assisted design and production tools where appropriate to accelerate workflows and exploration while maintaining a high standard for craft and quality

  • Occasionally support broader brand initiatives including campaign creative, social assets, print collateral, and event branding

  • Stay current on modern web design systems, interaction patterns, and emerging digital trends

Qualifications 🌟
  • 5+ years of experience designing high-quality web and digital experiences, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and systems thinking

  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, UX best practices, interaction design, and modern web standards

  • Experience owning or shaping web experiences and digital design systems across a brand or product ecosystem

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools, and modern digital design workflows

  • Strong balance of creativity, usability, and systems thinking

  • Ability to design within a clean, minimal, and technical visual language aligned with the WorkOS brand aesthetic

  • Strong skill in communicating complex technical or product concepts in approachable and user-friendly ways

  • Experience collaborating closely with developers and working within front-end implementation workflows (HTML/CSS familiarity is a plus)

  • Familiarity with motion design, interaction systems, and modern web animation patterns

  • Deep curiosity and fluency with emerging AI-powered creative tools, with a proactive approach to experimenting, learning, and integrating new workflows without compromising quality or craft

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced, remote-first environment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working on technically complex products, SaaS platforms, or developer-focused tools

  • Practical front-end development experience (HTML/CSS)

  • Experience using analytics, experimentation, or A/B testing to inform design iteration

  • Experience helping scale the digital presence of a fast-growing technology brand

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
